Turning it Over to the Next Generation

After 18 years of serving as Kerr County A&M Club Chairman, John M. Penaloza ’89 will be retiring.  It has been an honor to volunteer ang help the Association of Former Students and community. I got involved with the club in 2005 creating a website and taking on duties as Chairman. I am a 25 year member of the Association of Former Students and 13 year member of the Century Club.  When I started keeping track of members we had 279 and now have 879 active members.

The next Chairman will need to perform duties to keep or Gold Club status like our annual charter agreement, Muster committee, website updates, Facebook page email production, scholarship committee, football watch parties, sporting clays assistant and tracking the number of Muster attendees.  We will also be looking for someone to hold our sporting clays shoot and a treasurer.

The Kerr County A&M Club email address has been updated to an kerrcountyamc@aggienetwork.com and has been synchronized with online donations to make it easier for the next Chairman and treasurer to perform their duties.

Over the last year we were able to hold a football Get-together, a Muster and even the capability for contributors to donate to the club directly online.  Members can preregister for Muster through our website to make Nora Cook ’79 (Muster Chairperson’s) job easier.
